1.01 // Baseline
Makeshift Atelier is a small design and drafting practice in
Canberra, working on spaces, objects, and structures shaped by
how they are used, rather than how they look on a screen.
1.02 // Scope
The work spans adaptable interiors, compact living, climbing
environments, furniture, and the drawings required to bring
them together. The focus is on considered, adaptable work
built for long‑term use.
2.01 // Process
Every project begins by understanding place, context, and how
people actually live. The process moves between the drawing
board and the workshop floor because documenting, fabricating,
and building are all part of the same thinking.
2.02 // Collaboration
The people involved in a project shape it as much as the brief
does. That collaboration is not incidental. It is the method.
